A Refined Country Warmth

The need for sensibility dictated an honest use of natural materials and simplicity in Meadowood's design. These characteristics are still found today in the straight-forward architecture of the guest cottages which are sensitively tucked into the hillside and the simplicity of the stone walls erected by Chinese craftsmen over a century ago.

This is a perfect place to lounge in a porch chair with a good book and a steaming mug of coffee or a glass of Napa Valley wine. The bathroom features a shower (no tub) and vanity.

Hillside Room

This charming room features a California king bed, wood-burning fireplace, private deck and views of the wooded hillside. The spacious bathroom offers a vanity and a combined bathtub and shower.

Lawnview Terrace and Lawnview Alcove rooms, all located in the Croquet Lodge, are aptly named for their views of the croquet lawns and fairways. All feature California king beds, stone, wood-burning fireplaces and French doors opening to outdoor patios. The spacious, newly renovated bathrooms offer double vanities and combination tubs and showers. The Croquet Lodge is centrally located on the property and a handy choice for those wishing easy access to guest services, the Reception Lodge, croquet, golf and dining.

Treeline Room

Settle into one of these comfortable, cozy, cottage-style rooms and enjoy the forest views. These floorplans offer an extra measure of privacy with separate sleeping and sitting rooms. The bedrooms feature California king beds and built-in window seats for lounging or reading in abundant natural light. Most sitting rooms have a wood-burning fireplace and all have sleep sofas suitable for a child or two. The spacious bathrooms offer showers and most also have bathtubs.

Oakview

Vaulted ceilings, reading chairs tucked into quiet window corners and stone, wood-burning fireplaces are delightful features of these rooms. The open floor plan makes the fireplace enjoyable from the sitting area, the desk or the California king bed. Windows open onto views of the oak trees rambling over the hillsides. The spacious bathrooms are light and bright with separate soaking tubs and showers encased in arched glass block walls. Oakview rooms are the location of choice for tennis players as the tennis shop and seven courts are a quick walk down the hill.
