Enjoy the luxury of our location in a beautiful, two hundred-fifty acre valley. Meadowood is reminiscent of a private estate in a bygone era. Gracious hospitality defines the style of service and timeless, natural beauty the sense of place.

The property features championship croquet lawns, seven tennis courts, a nine-hole walking golf course, hiking trails, swimming, a full-service health spa, a wine educator, an annual cultural affairs calendar, eighty-five guest rooms, suites and cottages and wine country cuisine.

Meadowood: Forty Years of Tradition

Founded as a private club in 1964 with an unprecedented vision of what the next four decades might hold Meadowood became the original gathering place for Napa Valley's burgeoning wine growing community.

For the last twenty-seven years, Meadowood has also served as the preeminent wine country destination for discerning travelers to the region. With classic architecture, diverse amenities and activities, and a professional staff that includes a tennis professional, golf professional, croquet professional, and cultural affairs director, among others, the experience on the estate has continued to evolve with Napa Valley itself.

Today, Meadowood expresses the authenticity of country life and brings guests and members closer to the timeless traditions of the region. The property continues to serve as the common ground for the Napa Valley Vintners as well as an integral part of the cultural and social fabric of the community.

The Meadowood Setting

Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Meadowood's character and its name come from its unique setting. Recognized as a special place for centuries for luxuries including natural protection, abundant water and fertile land, Meadowood is a place of great beauty and rare seclusion.

Made Perfect in Spacious Family Lodges

Family gatherings are a fond tradition at Meadowood. Where better than this beautiful, private setting to reunite two…or even three…generations under one roof?
Each Meadowood Hillside Lodge and Hillside Terrace Lodge features a large, central living room and the opportunity to reserve one, two, three or four adjoining guest rooms, each with its own bath. All living rooms feature stone fireplaces, convenience kitchens, sitting areas with flat screen televisions, a bathroom, a sofa that doubles as queen-size bed, French doors leading out to private decks and views of the wooded hillsides.

Throughout the day summer's delightful bounty goes straight from garden to table. Enjoy meals indoors or embrace our celebrated indoor-outdoor lifestyle by dining al fresco at The Pool Terrace Cafe, in The Grill or in The Restaurant at Meadowood.

By day, take advantage of the estate's summer children's program which introduces young people to golf, croquet, tennis, swimming, hiking, yoga and healthful cooking. Adults may spend time together enjoying the estate's sporting activities, relaxing poolside or exploring the local wineries and vineyards. In the afternoons, we invite families to The Reception Lodge for tea, lemonade and freshly-baked cookies. Here, you'll also find an assortment of board games and DVDs. Each afternoon, adults are invited to The Reception Lodge for a complimentary tasting of Napa Valley wines hosted by a member of our wine education staff. In the evenings, retreat to the privacy of your lodge and gather around a roaring fire to play games, watch home movies or share favorite stories. Creating family memories at Meadowood is a lifelong gift for every generation.

When you stay with us this summer, your personal guest services representative will assist your family with arrangements for your stay to ensure activities for all ages are planned in advance. In your lodge, you'll arrive the first day to find a family welcome amenity in your living room with a little something for everyone. And, as a special gesture, families reserving two, three or four bedroom lodges will also enjoy a family golf or tennis lesson for up to eight family members with our compliments.
