When you reserve your stay this winter, don't forget to book time in the new Meadowood Golf Performance Studio! The Studio offers patented TrackMan technology that gives players the opportunity to quickly make adjustments to how they hit the golf ball, which in turn immediately helps the way the golf ball travels. Meadowood currently has the only course in California - and is one of only seven nationwide – to offer both TrackMan Pro and the new TrackMan Range technology. Available to hotel guests and Meadowood members, the studio offers an opportunity for both beginners to learn the basics and more seasoned players to perfect their technique, all while enjoying stunning, dramatic views of the property while in a comfortable, quiet environment.TrackMan records the club and ball data and displays the information in easy-to-understand graphic models. This information and visual component allow the student and teacher to quickly identify areas of need and instantly implement tailored adjustments. Frame-by-frame video is also available in the studio to help aid in the communication of how to achieve an improved swing. Feedback will be tracked and viewed via recorded golf video from multiple angles, giving the player the most complete and comprehensive session possible.
The new technology used by the Meadowood Golf Performance Studio “transforms the way players learn and how the game is taught,” explains Doug Pike, Meadowood’s resident golf professional. In addition to the instruction, players will have the option to reserve their own private TrackMan Range sessions where the data and visual graphics will be available to them.
“Gone are the days of students having to spend time trying to fit into someone else’s golf swing model,” adds Pike. “We have gone from making notable swing changes which could potentially lead to improved golf shots down the road, to making improvements that can lead to notable swing changes immediately. We are certain players will agree that when thorough understanding and accurate feedback meet in the form of follow-up sessions, incredible game transformations can be achieved.”
The Meadowood Golf Performance Studio is open by appointment-only for hotel guests, Meadowood members and guests of members. One hour private lesson is $150; or you may wish to rent a bucket of 50 golf balls for $20. Course green fees are $45 per person and golf clubs are available for rent through the Pro Shop for $45 per bag (includes sleeve of golf balls); golf attire and shoes are also available for purchase.
Meadowood also has reciprocal agreements with selected private clubs around the United States. Green fees apply to hotel guests. Private instruction is offered through the Golf and Croquet Pro Shop. Motorized carts are not permitted on the fairways, but pull carts are available on a complimentary basis. A practice putting surface is available.
